Posting disappear !!!

Is it me or some of my posting are disappearing. July 13-14 posting.
I remember posting Mod Wanted..... or was I dreaming....

Is it me or some of my posting are disappearing. July 13-14 posting.
I remember posting Mod Wanted..... or was I dreaming....

Someone said we had a spammer around.
It's possible while deleting spam, actual posts were deleted.
I also had my post deleted (Tuesday July 14 2009), but I logged on and posted again.

Ok this is getting scary not only there is SPAM but a ghost hacker as well.
Does this forum has rivals attacking the cause or is it a random fall in. I've heard about a hacker war on loose
between America and China a few weeks ago but targetting websites like this would be silly i'm just speaking outloud here.
You never know i'm going to investigate.

I was thinking it may be a rival robotics company, but I can't think of anyone who would want to do this, let alone delete selected posts instead of full threads.
Besides an easier way to attack a site would be putting a block on the forums or even giving the homepage a DoS attack.

Le, you're not dreaming there was a mod post. I surmised that perhaps the board had been hit with so much spam, that rather than delete it all manually, that you had just reverted back to the databases last backup, resulting in a loss of posts during the dates since the last backup.

I doubt it was a hack, crack or rival, nor was it any sort of external attack if you hadn't deleted the posts. I would have to assume that there was a loss in the server, and when it came back online, it had to reload the database from the last saved session which would have been several days prior.
