Re: Aiko new skull and camera
I knew you would do simple the best.
The skull is very anatomical, I've seen other robot skulls but they are never so perfectionist.
You take a lot of time far from us, but when you come is always with the best.
One question: Are her eyes fixed to a base or she will be able to move them up, down?.. I couldn't understand the base of eyes' structure in the pics.
Congratulations!

Will you be using some kind of servo to move the skin on the face for facial expression?
I have seen many other project use so many servo, I guess you use use flexinol instead? From there all you need is a controller.
Im not sure if you could ever pulse (frequency) the power through flexinol to mimic the power throttle and adjust the pull strength.

I wonder if Le has seen The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman.
These two shows had a male robot and fembot with a skull and cameras just like this one.

Hi
flexinol does NOT have pulse signal so very hard to use it for facial expression.
Unless you design your own hardware pulse controller for flexinol.
I don't see I would be using it anytime soon ...flexinol
Servo is cheap and it works well.
I brushless servo cost about $100 and it does the job very well.
