Proabably a slim chance I may enter the contest.
My friend has to do the paperwork, You have to be US citizen to enter.
There are type type:
Simulation computer robot to rescue.
Build an actual robot to rescue.

Contest is in Dec 2013.
6 events for the contest.
Large corporation and university get large funding for the project.
But the little guy get nothing.
Let's see who can do better or win.
I haven't started yet, but have kind of idea how I want to build the robot.

Events include
getting on a car and drive.
walk across surface
climb stair/letter
open door
pick up tools
close value.
