I confess I am curious about the launch of this robot. People say march 2011 ( obviously nothing happened, but official site says 2011 outumn... it seems more plausible).
So, I'll need to control my curiosity till north emisphere's outumn. Gosh!
But what motivates me to post it is the description of it's way to walk.
It is called backdrivable mechanism: I is based in a system of screws and cables with very low friction and inertia.

Well, that could lower the cost of energy, but it would mean that the body would have to be an exoskeletal structure primarily. I was under the impression Aiko's skeletal structure was, well, skeletal?

Well, I thought about something like an exo-protection inside the silicon skin.
Silicon would would be a little thiker, so the conjunct would not seem to look "fat".
I hope I am not talking bulshit hahahahah
Maybe I am... I don't understand too much about hardware.
Indeed, my graduation was about Human learning processes...

But do my thoughts make any sense?
