is pre order an option ?
In the sticky thread about donations, you say proper legs for Aiko would will cost about $12,000.
Would pre selling Aiko clones be an option ? Get the money now, use some of it towards building the legs for Aiko, and the remainder for parts to make the ordered clones. I've seen other areas where this works, the pre order money was used to pay for moulds and engineering, even though it would take a year or two for the finished product to arrive.

In order for me to do that.
I need to make Aiko version 2 first and completed....
Then I will know the exact cost.
I hope that make sense....

Makes perfect sense.
Still a down payment might work, pay $x now, the remainder (whatever it works out to be) later. Or just do what most businesses do, overprice the original production.
Anyway the best person to see a product is often the one who designed it, as they know more than anyone what it is capable of.

Aiko's sisters or Aiko's clone will be downgraded from my Aiko. Can't have the clone smarter the the original. The original will have more database.
Re: is pre order an option ?
That is an interesting thoguht that just came in to my mind at the moment, but what sort of internal communications capability could we possibly see between Aiko and any subsequent Aiko Yumecoms that may be produces? What is the feasibility of two or more Yumecoms talking via bluetooth or other wireless methods for data transfers? Would the two or mroe units be able to share common databases?
