Possible upgrades
I have to say that Aiko is amazing. She may be one of the most advanced robots this day. However, as we all know, there is much more to do before she can get to her final "goal": true AI.
I've been doing some light research, and I've discovered some AI projects that may help the development of Aiko.

and something that may help with her voice (I have nothing against it right now, but if she were to take the Turing Test, her voice may reveal herself to be a robot...) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocaloid
When I get some money, I'll be sure to donate, but I would love to know if Mr. Trung is willing to accept help from these fine individuals in upgrading Aiko "to her full potential"?

Re: Possible upgrades
I think he would accept help but things don't work like this, everybody who's developing a software is putting a lot of time and effort into it so Lee would need lots of moneys in order to start partnerships with others, moneys he doesn't have.
Also it's very difficult to market a robot like Aiko right now because all the technology that goes into building it is incredibly overpriced and most of it it's not even designed to be used in a robot, in 5-6 years I believe it can be marketed when robotics will not be a niche industry anymore so prices will fall.

Yeap,
Mainboard is still expensive (for us poor people anyway), motors is $500 / each...
Unless, the cost is down.... it's pretty hard to make an android under $10,000.
