Hi guys!
I found this article and I think that it's very interesting, because this autralian guy built algorithms to machines simulate free thinking and emotion.

I would love to read to my robot and know that he is understanding and taking a lesson from the text.

Oh! One question:

I know Aiko are able to read. But, is she able to understand what she is reading or she just read aloud?

...autralian guy built algorithms to machines simulate free thinking and emotion.
...and Roxxxy is the world's first anroid Smile
I know that such guys talk bullshit most the time just to draw attention for the crap they made...
As long he can't really proof it and really convince us somehow there's no need to believe anything he says...

meet Roxxxy the robotic scam:
On the more technical side, Roxxxy’s life-like synthetic skin hides an anatomically correct articulated skeleton that replicates human movements, and she even has a mechanical heart that’s responsible for powering an internal liquid cooling system.
Roxxxy’s specific personalities include Wild Wendy, who’s supposedly adventurous and aggressive, while Mature Martha is extremely caring and motherly, and S&M Susan

I didn´t understand your point. Can you explain it better?
Because the article I've put here didn't claim that the Australian Scientist is the first or the only to try to build algorithms for feelings .
And comparing Roxxy to any serious purpose in AI or robotics is just like a bad taste joke.

But being a little more serious an coming back to my question:

Is Aiko capable to understand what she reads?

Hugs to all

Aiko or the Brains software does NOT really understand reading as we human do.
We can read a newspaper and summary the main points.

Where as the BRAINS software, read a newspaper, anything the brains software does not understand or words, System/Aiko will spell it out.
So the creator/myself will have to teach the new words and its meaning.

Another words, The brains software is still faraway from being fnished.

One step by each time.
We know that BRAINS hasn't achieved all it's potential yet.

I have faith that a person with money and courage to take risks will help to put Aiko walking, talking and learning out there and I hope to see it happen
