Aiko V2 new name.... suggestions!

Hi.

Ok, working very hard on the new softwares and aiko new faces v2.
If everything go well, I am hoping V2 will be done end of the month or mid of April.
The new faces is designed by a person from Asia, I will give full details, when it is done.

Initially, I thought of making the same faces for V2, but decided to make a different face therefore, we should have a different name.
Female Oriental face, 153cm, long hairs.
Yes, more facial expression, and I will integrate tear duct into her eyes.
Anyway, new name .... suggestions.

I don't know the language, but maybe some anime influence would do.
Something romantic perhaps.

Well, I suggest you Sayuri as her new name.
Sayuri means "little white lily". --- She is white and small: 1,53m . I have 1,54m! haha
And I like the sound ... Sayuri
If I were a japonese girl, I would love to be called as Sayuri.

Besides being Japanese, it just fits what she is.

I was gonna say Sakura too from the anime Sakura Diaries (flirtatious 16 year old girl has crush on 18 year old cousin who doesn't remember her), but I forgot what the name meant (17+ rating for rape scene).

the name doesn't need a special meaning, no one gives a shit about that, it's only important that the name sounds good

@Arti - Sayuri is a verrrrrryyyyyyy traditional japonese name. And allways a name will have some joke in some lenguage. An Exemple: Mitiko = in portuguese ( my lenguage it sounds like m-e-t-e-c-u. And it is a very bad expression here - I will not translate or write it in the right portugese way. Very ofensive.) So if you are going to put a name that will never sound bed in any lenguage, it is almost impossible!!!!!)

In all these names I've said, I also prefer Sayuri.

There are a lot of beautiful names. And I agree with @Arti - I also thing that a japonese, chinese or korean name is better, because she will have oriental face.

@Le Ashiko sounds nice too. Child of the future. Really means what she is, and what all future robots will be.

Oh Gosh! But my vote goes to Sayuri. Remember: we can build some models and name them with a lot of our sugestions.

One question: Is it possible to the owner change the robot's name? I thing it would be nice and interactive to allow the owner to chose the name to his/her assistent. Is it possible?

I agree that any name should reflect the target audience. If the main aim is going to be towards the japanese market, then it would make sense that you would use a japanese name.

Personally, I think that the suggestions are good.I particularly like Sayuri and Sakura, although I think the AI=Ai pun should be continued. I would like to point out though that the abbreviation-name that Arti was probably thinking of was 'Cos-Mos', from Xenosaga which I think is short for 'Combat ...'... Although now that I think of it, the spelling might have been Kos-Mos. Anyway, acronyms are probably not a good idea because they sound too militaristic, [especially ripoffs of the combat android's name, cough cough] while the aim of the project is companion cubes robots.

I Think Aiko needs a name that ressembles kindness and trustworth. So it will be a step for people not feeling afraid of robots, we must remember that for some people she will be very uncanny.

It looks like the new face will be at least one month delay.
Probably won't be ready unit May.
Problem with the silicone, have to order more.

Kuzumi sounds like Kasumi from the Dead Or Alive series.

Personally, I like Sakura. It's a little generic, but it works.

Yumi... Well, here's the meaning from 20k names-
YUMI (由美): Japanese short form of names beginning with Yumi-, meaning "cause-beauty."

It also has a bonus of sounding similar to Yumecoms, so it would continue the naming scheme started with Aiko.
