Contest: Project Aiko logo for business card and usb key.

Hi

I want to make a business card for Project Aiko and USB flash Key 4-8gig.
If you win, I probably going to give you a gift card from bestbuy or amazon or something.

1. I need to make company Logo. Something that say "Project Aiko"

2. Business Card.
a) Project Aiko
b) company logo if possible
c) my name on it: Trung Le

if possible some have " Canada's First Android"
You can use any pictures from the website of projectaiko.com

3. USB KEY 4-8Gig.
There is limited space of what we can put here. (The usb is rectangle shape)

MUST have "project aiko"
logo if possible
maybe website"www.projectaiko.com"

The price for the usb 4-8Gig is about $15 depending on how many I make.

a logo has mostly only sense when people can identify it, so only if you are a big company and put millions of dollars into advertisement
for Project Aiko you just need to use a neat text like you already use:

I like the 2nd better, it's better readable (I only like that "A" from the first one better)
I would suggest it as your logo - it looks nice and everyone who can read can identify it without problems and so search for it on the internet

Then for advertisement items some art would be nice, just a plain text is not so interesting. When I will come up with something I let you know.

You can make the second card look better by using italics.

Well, I am not a designer, but sometimes I make some logos to my friends.

When I thought about a logo I figured out that a logo won't be any help, that a logo isn't what sells a product, the name/company behind that logo sells the product. Big companies like Microsoft, Nokia, Sony use only text. People are not in the first place interested in logos but in the brand/name. And it will make no difference for Le if the business card will have only text or some great art - because people will be interested in what Le can make and deliver and not in his logo or art style of his business cards. And actually an only text business card or text "logo" will look more professional. Just playing with the fonts and text placement should do and maybe there could be a nice picture of Aiko - I found a few good pictures in the gallery but if Le could make Aiko to do "moe moe kyun" (in a maid dress if possible) that could look great

Microsoft has the flying window that was used as a "Bat Signal" in "The Simpsons", Sony has the red, yellow, and green loops that are on all Sony Projectors, and Nokia also has a logo.
I think the most memorable is the cow skin cube "Gateway Computers" uses and the striped apple for "Apple Computers".

Ever since the Playboy Bunny in the 50s, there has never been a business that had a text only business card.

There is an "r" in person which ico forgot, so I hope they weren't made out yet.

wow.... the faint maple leaf on the cards with aiko... I never thought of that. Very good.

I use a lot of USB key, for backing up Aiko data every 2 weeks or so.
(I don't delete the old, it is for archive) So i buy a lot of usb keys,
It only makes sense to have aiko brands on it, and I can give out to people who supports me, and the people in the form who give good informations for free.

I though it would be cool if I can give something that people can use daily.
(At least for me anyway)

I talked to the company that make the usb key.
The best price that they can give to me.


50pcs for $15us each
or
1000pcs for $7.5 each.

Obviously, I don't have $7500 so just going to make the 50pcs for now.

They can even make Aiko's head into a usb key shape. Not sure if people want that or not.
(Just like they make Gundam head usb key...etc).

I was thinking to making a Super deform of Aiko entire body into a usb key.
or a plain retangle shape with Aiko logo on it.

@Ico. As I said, I am not a designer. It was just a try. I think your cards are the best. I like the 4rth one..But as you asked, here is my try of doing a logo.

@Le Every single Aiko's memory are in USB pendrive? WOW! External HD is a choice?

NO movable joints for the usb keys. It will cost too much for low volume production.
