More models
Look what I found:
luckymannequin.com
It's much more expensive, but the work is half done already!
I wonder if robotics can be attached.

RE: More models
I was thinking about it for a model you could cast the body from.

These are cheeper and the next state over from me so the shipping wouldn't be a killer.

would anyone ever suggest making a silicone mould from casting a silicone doll? Or a hired model (life cast)?
This would work great if a mechanical fully finish body put that in a cast and make a mould.

Re: Aiko V2 new mainboard and face.
I've found the work of a guy called Rick Ma.
He made a robot ( better say the face of a robot, because the body doesn't seem to have movements) based on Kelly Chan.
Despite he could have used a more flexible skin, his work was great because he made an animatronik face without great resources.
Kelly's mouth is almost fully functional ( couldn't see her smiling) and it can also move it's eyes and blink them!
Maybe it can be a good example of how to put facial expressions in Aiko.
Kelly is only a bit weird because of the too heavy eyebrows and a kind of sideburns ( not existent in real girls).
But it's nice to see how her hair and eyebrows are applied on her face.

I found it great because it doesn't seem to be a so expensive process as some animatronick heads I've seeing, just as Jules ( wich costs more than U$100,000 (only the head) because of the intrincated web of wires it has to move it's "facial muscles".

Hi
Just finished programing new feature in the BRAINS software.
Aiko V2 should be able to cry/tear.
Why, do I do that, because I feel like it.
planning to put small tear duct in the eyes.
As long as it doesn't leak, it should be ok.

wow a crying android!!! thats an awesome idea !!! tell us how it goes
Re: Aiko V2 new mainboard and face.
Wow! So beautiful! She can cry!
Do you intend her to cry only when "sad or hurt" or will she have also "happy" tears?
It will be a very special feature to make a human owner clser to her with a really friendly interface.
Le, I sugest again take a look at the game The Sims ( it could help in simulating "emotions" betwin her and her social cicle) . By certain stimuli and words she could develop social skils.
Maybe it is a little complex to a first version, but it can be sold in a posterior fase as a special pack. And come included in the posterior versions. Maybe one day we can have robot "falling in love" with their owners.
I think The Sims uses Fuzzy logics, it can be a first step...
I have another question. That is about hardware:
Her eyes are cams ( web cams?) . Are these cams waterproof? ( tears + cameras = ?)

About the expression of feelings I've found a nice article about Artificial Emotions .
Nice progresses are being made by using Fuzzy Logics for modeling Artificial emotions.
